Books Leaders Read

Being in business is more than just having a great idea and hard work – it also means constantly learning, trying new things, being bold, and being open to learning from others. Here are a couple of books from a list that started from a group I found called “Books a CEO Reads” – and was added to by my mentors and co-workers. I’ll share a few now, and more later.

Have you read either of them? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

No matter your goals, Atomic Habits offers a proven framework for improving–every day. James Clear, one of the world’s leading experts on habit formation, reveals practical strategies that will teach you exactly how to form good habits, break bad ones, and master the tiny behaviors that lead to remarkable results.

This book really opened my mind to how important a smile is not only for myself, but for those who receive them. The highlights of this book are great additions to my affirmations list. I really love this book and think it is a must read.

Amazon Find: Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner

Oh my gosh! This could not be more fun to use.

I was online and came across a video of a person cleaning jewelry, eye glasses, makeup brushes and more in the ultra sonic jewelry cleaner they had purchased.

I immediately thought of all the things around my home I could clean, and poppped over to Amazon to find one. As usual I read reviews, did a bit more research on Google and found this amazing gadget.

The Professional Sonic Cleaner with One Touch Operation. It said it came with solution, but in the reviews it said it didn’t – so I ordered iSonic CSGJ01-8OZ Ultrasonic Jewelry/Eye Wear Cleaning Solution Concentrate.

I unboxed it as soon as it arrived and grabbed a bottled water – it said that was better than using tap. I poured water in, up to the line – added 1 capful of the cleaning solution and dropped in my stud earrings. I plugged it in and anxiously looked down into the vibrating pool to see what was happening to my earrings. Wow! There was definitely a bit of stuff coming out from under the stones, and a few seconds later it all seemed good.

I removed the studs from the solution and rinsed them off – and the brilliance of the sparkle was incredible. They hadn’t looked like that since Dean got them for me a few years ago. I then cleaned my glasses, Dean’s glasses, his ring, some other earrings and on and on.

This is definitely a fun gadget and so very handy!
